The Louisville Sports Commission Presents…
1. Objective and Purpose. The 2010 Go Cards! Big East Basketball Tournament Raffle is conducted for the sole purpose of generating funds to support the Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) and the University of Louisville Autism Center, a charitable organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. All proceeds, less the cost of expenses, benefit LSC and the University of Louisville Autism Center.
The Louisville Sports Commission is a not-for-profit organization committed to attracting, creating and hosting sports-related events and opportunities that have a positive economic impact, enhance the image of the greater Louisville area and improve the quality of life for area residents and sports enthusiasts.
The University of Louisville Autism Center is a partnership between the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry and College of Education and Human Development to create a comprehensive, multidisciplinary center at the University Of Louisville Health Sciences Center. This partnership will become Kentucky's primary resource for state of the art assessment and treatment of autism, cutting edge research, training and support for parents of children with autism, and the focal point for education and training of professionals from a number of health care and educational disciplines.
2. Eligibility. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. With the purchase of a Raffle Ticket Entry Entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules, as well as any and all applicable federal, state and/or local laws, statutes, ordinances, regulations and/or codes. Each Raffle Ticket Entry Entrant is only eligible to win one (1) prize. Should the same Raffle Ticket Entry Entrant be drawn for the second Grand Prize, a new ticket will be drawn. If multiple Entrants are identified on one (1) Raffle Ticket Entry the first name listed shall be deemed the Entrant and it is that Entrant’s responsibility to allocate any prize received among the other parties to his/her Raffle Ticket Entry.
Go Cards! Big East Basketball Tournament Raffle Committee Members, their spouses, and household members are not eligible to win.
3. Purchase. The cost of each Raffle Ticket Entry is $20.00 in U.S. Funds. Such purchase price is not tax deductible. Payment may be made in cash and/or by check (made payable to “Louisville Sports Commission”) or by money order. Purchases can also be made by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover accepted) through online purchase. Raffle Ticket Entries may be purchased from Go Cards! Big East Basketball Tournament Raffle Committee Members, associated volunteer board members or online at at www.gocardsraffle.com. There is no limit to the number of times an individual may enter. All Entrants must provide valid payment along with their name, address, telephone number and/or e-mail address, which shall be legibly written on the numbered ticket stub and/or entered on-line at www.gocardsraffle.com. If an Entrant’s form of payment is dishonored, such Entry will be invalidated unless a substitute form of payment is rendered within ten (10) days of notice to the Entrant that his/her form of payment has been dishonored. Although reasonable efforts will be made to notify an Entrant if his/her form of payment is dishonored, the Louisville Sports Commission is not responsible and accepts no liability for same if such efforts are unsuccessful and it remains the Entrant’s responsibility to assure proper payment of the Raffle Ticket Entry cost by a valid means. All Entrants purchasing a Raffle Ticket Entry from a Go Cards! Big East Basketball Tournament Raffle Committee Member or associated volunteer board member will be provided a numbered ticket stub upon purchase. Entrants purchasing a Raffle Ticket Entry at www.gocardsraffle.com, and providing the necessary contact information, will receive an electronic scan of their numbered ticket stub via the email address provided during their Google Checkout within ten (10) days of the confirmation of the Entrant’s proper payment for same.
4. Limitation and Deadline. A maximum of 20,000 Raffle Ticket Entries will be sold. Face-to-face Raffle Ticket Entries and payment for same must be made on or before February 6, 2010 or the sale of 20,000 previous Raffle Ticket Entries, whichever is first to occur. Online Raffle Ticket Entries and payment for the same must be made on or before January 30, 2010 or the sale of 20,000 previous Raffle Ticket Entries, whichever is first to occur. Raffle Ticket Entries will be sold and accepted on a first come, first served basis.
5. Cancellation and/or Modification. The Louisville Sports Commission reserves the right to cancel and/or modify the Raffle. The drawing for will proceed regardless of the number of tickets sold.
6. Notification of Winners. The Grand Prize and/or other winners need not be present at the drawing to win. Winners will be notified within 7 days of the draw via certified mail. The said winner has up to 30 full calendar days to claim their prize. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to notify the Louisville Sports Commission of any change in his/her contact information and, although reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners based upon the information provided, the Louisville Sports Commission is not responsible and accepts no liability for same if such efforts are unsuccessful. In the event the winner does not claim their prize within 30 days, the Louisville Sports Commission will notify the KY Department of Charitable Gaming regarding a new date, time and location for the second drawing and it will be witnessed by a Compliance Officer.
7. Drawing. The drawing for the Grand Prize winners will be held on February 6, 2010 at Freedom Hall during the U of L vs. Rutgers home basketball game in Louisville, Kentucky at half-time. The winners need not be present to win. Drawing will be random and within the sole authority and control of the Louisville Sports Commission. The Louisville Sports Commission reserves the right to retain an independent firm to be announced to officiate such drawing. Retain your ticket stub. While an Entrant need not be present to win, the winners must present the winning ticket stubs to collect prizes and the winning stubs will be kept by the Louisville Sports Commission for 3 years to meet required gaming records.
8. Odds. A maximum of 20,000 tickets will be sold. Each ticket represents two (2) chances to win.
9. Authority and Control. All decisions of the Louisville Sports Commission shall be final regarding all matters pertaining to the Raffle and the purchase of Raffle Ticket Entries.
10. Tax Obligations. The winners of the Grand Prizes must provide all necessary Federal and State tax reporting information before receiving the Grand Prizes. All Local, State, and Federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. In accordance with guidelines set forth by the KY Department of Charitable Gaming, prize winners’ information will be submitted on the Quarterly Report filed to that office.
11. Disclaimer. The duration of these Grand Prize trips are dependent upon the success of the University of Louisville Men’s Basketball Team in the Big East Tournament. The Grand Prizes each include 2 tickets to the Big East Tournament March 10-13, 2010, 2 seats on U of L President Ramsey’s charter flight from Louisville, KY to New York, NY for the Big East Tournament and then returning from New York, NY to Louisville, KY, 1 hotel room in Times Square, and $1,000 cash spending money. Departure from Louisville to NYC for the tournament will be determined by U of L’s tournament seed. Should the University of Louisville Men’s Basketball Team experience an early elimination from the Big East Tournament, the winners of the Grand Prizes could choose to forego the 2 seats on U of L President Ramsey’s charter flight returning to Louisville, KY and remain at the hotel in Times Square for the remainder of the Big East Tournament and continue to use the tournament prize winning tickets and $1,000 cash prizes through the final round. Should the prize winners choose to forego the return charter flight, the prize winners would be responsible for any and all costs associated with a return trip to Louisville, KY.
12. Grand Prize. There are two Grand Prizes. Each includes 2 tickets to the Big East Tournament March 10-13, 2010, 2 seats on U of L President Ramsey’s charter flight to and from the Big East Tournament, 1 hotel room in Times Square, and $1,000 cash spending money.
13. Promotional Use. By purchasing a 2010 Go Cards! Big East Tournament Raffle ticket, winners consent to the promotional use of their name and likenesses by the Louisville Sports Commission and the University of Louisville Autism Center and its designees without additional compensation.
